BEFORE YOUR FIRST CONQUEST

A few things to know.

Is Devolution turn-based?: No. Armies move, territories change hands and opponents make their moves in real time. Capturing territory earns gold to recruit more units.
Can I play solo and offline?: Yes. Play against AI commanders, save your solo match locally, and continue later. Online multiplayer and update downloads need an internet connection.
Can I play with friends?: Yes. Browse public games or create an invite-only room. Large battlefields support up to 24 factions, including AI; smaller maps have their own limits. How to invite friends.
Can we chat during a game?: Yes. Room chat works in the lobby and during a match. Press Enter to open it and Escape to close it. You can block players and report messages. Chat and safety controls.
What is new in the latest preview?: Version 0.1.5 adds five grand campaigns and improves movement through narrow crossings. It also includes lobby and in-game chat, synchronized match loading, and the recent connection fixes.
