Terms of use

The terms for using Devolution’s website, downloadable preview and hosted services, provided by A1Base Inc.

Last updated:

Using Devolution

These terms describe the permission to use the website, desktop preview and services A1Base Inc. makes available as Devolution. Read them before downloading or using the game. Any separate terms supplied with a particular edition or distribution platform also apply to that edition. If you cannot legally agree to these terms yourself, a parent or legal guardian should review and agree before you use the service.

Permission to play

Subject to these terms and applicable law, A1Base Inc. gives you a limited, non-exclusive permission to download, install and play the preview for personal use. You do not acquire ownership of the game, its branding or its assets. Third-party software and font licences continue to apply to their respective components; see Credits and licences and the notices included with the game.

Do not sell or redistribute the game or its assets without permission, impersonate the official service, remove required copyright notices, or circumvent access controls. This does not restrict uses or rights that applicable law or a component’s own licence allows.

Preview software and availability

The download is an early preview. Features, balance, maps, compatibility and online availability may change; errors, interruptions and save incompatibilities can occur. Keep backups of anything important. Website screenshots may show a development version that differs from the currently downloadable build.

We may update the preview or change or discontinue preview services. We do not promise a release date, future platform availability or permanent hosting. Any changes remain subject to applicable law and any commitments we separately make to you.

Online conduct

Follow the Community rules. Do not harass people, share unlawful content or someone else’s private information, distribute malware, cheat to disrupt other players, or interfere with the service.

We may take proportionate steps to investigate misuse, restrict chat or hosted-service access, and protect players. You can ask for review through Support. An automated filter does not guarantee that every harmful message will be prevented.

Your messages and reports

You retain any rights you have in original content you submit. By sending a message or report, you permit us to transmit, display to the relevant participants, store and review it as needed to provide the requested feature, handle reports and operate the service. This permission is limited to those purposes and does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Only submit content you are entitled to share. The Privacy policy explains how chat, support records and other information are handled.

Third-party services

Player-hosted rooms, stores, device platforms and other independent services may have their own terms and privacy practices. A link to a service does not make it part of Devolution. Review the terms of services you choose to use.

Your legal and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. Any statements about preview limitations operate subject to those rights.

If a product or service does not meet a legal guarantee, contact Support so the issue can be assessed under the applicable law.

Updates to these terms

Changes will be published here with an updated date. Material changes will be notified where required, and fresh agreement will be obtained where the law requires it. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights.
